Some examples

Some examples of custom browsers are shown in the tables on the left. It is difficult to show the full range of possibilities. Quite often customers arrive at a specification on the basis of "what if" concepts they have developed as a result of using browsers for a long time and want something different or better to achieve specific tasks.

For each type of application there is a variation in the combined graphics, functionality and target users.

Graphics

The visual appearance of a conventional browser is that of Microsoft® Internet Explorer. We produce browsers whose appearance varies from invisible or "chip" to transparent through to elaborate multi image/textured products.

Functionality

The expectation of functionality of any browser is to have at least what Microsoft® Internet Explorer has, even although many functions in MSIE are often not used. We produce browsers with all normal functionality plus extra functions requested by customers.

Target users

The intended distribtion of a browser can alter the graphic and functionality specifications. It is possible to make browsers copy proof in that copies will not work. On the other hand a customer may wish to distribute their product as advertising ware which would mean they do not know who will receive a copy. Under such circumstances precautions are taken against including channels to the sensitive information or by providing adequate security.

Floating browsers

It is possible to launch browsers from web sites by using virtual client technology. In this case the user simply clicks on a web site button and the browser will appear in the user's monitor. Such browsers can be fully functional.

When a use finishes using it and click on the exit button the browser simply disappears. The advantage of such browsers is that they are always fully updated since they reside on the online server supporting the web site.

One offs

Our custom browsers are designed and built by a specialized Navatec division. BrowsaWorks.Com whose associates are specialists in graphic design and inteface technologies including virtual client technology.

BrowsaWorks.Com will consider any request for browsers including one-off gift items. These are completely unique and are excellent gifts for anyone who uses the Internet for any occasion. Limited editions also prove popular with staff and executives. In general browsers remain an "unexpected" gift which is always appreciated because it is so useful and indeed used everyday by many people.
